Artist's Comments:
This oil pastel was drawn from photographs I took one lovely evening in front of my lane. The tide was exceedingly low, exposing multitudes of shiny olive shells, which delighted these children. On the horizon, Santa Cruz Island glowed like an ember in the fiery sunset.
