Artist's Comments:
The goddess Hutash created a rainbow bridge connecting the islands to the mainland. Then she commanded her island people, the Chumash, to cross over but not to look down. Some could not resist, and in doing so, they fell into the sea. But being a kind goddess, Hutash turned them into dolphins.
